Hi friends! I have been thinking for awhile about my purpose and mission behind Mama Matters Too. Why did I start this business, and why do I think this matters so much? This is why…
Because I wish I had had something like this when I was a new mom.
Because my heart aches to bring peace and comfort and practical tips to new moms that they can implement.
Because everyone deserves someone in their corner to offer encouragement and support in the most vulnerable time in their lives.
Because MAMA MATTERS TOO. Not just baby.
If I could personally be in every woman’s living room when they bring their baby home from the hospital, trust me, I would!! But until I can figure out how to do that 😉 I will just have to settle on providing as much practical help and encouragement I can through my blog, social media, and emails! So that is my goal. To show up and be your number one supporter, and number one source of advice for all things postpartum. I hope to be a wealth of knowledge for all new moms, and the first person they go to when they need help.
Ultimately, I hope to see a change in the way the medical community handles postpartum care and checkups for the mom, not just the newborn (because my son had what felt like a million checkups after birth and I had a whopping total of one 10 minute checkup). But, for now, let me be your guide for all things postpartum. Because (say it with me)…..
